Changes coming to the developer logs!

May 30th, 2022

Hey all!

I wanted to quickly update everyone on some changes coming to the site and how I do these developer logs. There’s a little bit of news for

Project Daybreak and the website as well!

First off, I may stop doing these developer logs every month. It’s becoming hard to do these without being super vague or giving too much

away and spoiling the game. Plus, if I’m doing them mid-development, things can change quickly and anything I said in the last month could

be invalid by the time I write another one. These will hopefully still be semi-frequent but not on a set schedule. The most likely scenario is that

I’ll only be writing new developer logs when I have something that needs to be written about or some huge news like a game release. Bug

fixes for previous games will also be added here from now on. That means we could have multiple developer logs in one month or none at

all for a few months. I’ll still be updating the community Discord server and our Twitter when I post new ones though!!

Now that’s out of the way, here are all the changes to the website this month:

  1. Split the Homepage into sections with different backgrounds and gave it a new general look

  2. Fully wrote out our Terms of Service

  3. Added the new Project Daybreak teaser page for new teasers. This will also turn into the eventual game page when the game releases.

  4. Added a new teaser to the Project Daybreak page and deleted the secret “Soon“ page

For some small, slightly vague news on Project Daybreak, I have done a lot with the lighting this month and really focused on updating that. It

looks way better now and you can see it in the teaser! The full narrative is now in the works as well, with the gameplay starting to line up

with it. Real progress is being made now and I can finally see an end goal for this game! It’s been more than a year in development at this

point, so it’s going to be nice to get it done. :)

To have some wholesome news, on the 15th of May, Five Nights at The Squad 2 had its first birthday! I can’t believe it’s already been a year

since I published the first full build of FNaTS 2, that’s absolutely incredible.

I’ll end off here with a couple of pictures of the new environments that I’ve been working on in Project Daybreak.

Thank you for reading! I hope to see you the next time I have an update on everything. :D
