February 2022

Feb 28th, 2022

Hello everyone! A TON is underway for Project DAYBREAK. I organized everything that I need to do for this level into a simple and dynamic list,

so now almost every single day I’m making progress. Speed was the problem last month, so with this, I hope that the problem has been mostly

quelled!

I’ve added a ton of new mechanics to the game and I’m working on simplifying current systems to run better as I write this. The first boss and

the way it attacks has been fully implemented and now I’m figuring out how the player will defeat the boss. I have an idea of how that will

happen in mind.

Next in line for implementation after I completely finish the boss is updating and adding to this level’s environments. There are many items I

need to add and a lot of interaction that could be implemented to spice things up a little bit and give it some extra liveliness. I believe that

very soon, maybe even within March, this level could be completed. No promises, but that’s what I’m shooting for!

After that, it’s other types of lesser enemies, as well as some simple player things like respawning or checkpoints, and this level (as well as the

base game) will be fully complete! That’s obviously a long list that I’ve shortened down into a few sentences, so it’s going to take longer than

it sounds like here. However, once that’s done the only thing left to do is add to the base and make more levels!

I still don’t know the exact time of release, but with each step forward it gets clearer and clearer.

The last thing(s) that I updated this month was general branding changes like the banner on YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. I also added a

thinner version to the top of our homepage right here, as well as updated the general look of our Itch.io page. The banner has been added to

our GameJolt as well. As a final update, I also remade the backgrounds for the FNaTS 1 and FNaTS 2 pages here. They have color now!

That about wraps it up for this month, stay tuned for any updates and check our social media accounts for any live updates in-between these

developer logs!

See you all next month.
